Stationery Theme Cafe In Harajuku

Do you appreciate “Japanese quality”? What will come up to your mind when you hear the word? Cars and Foods? How about pens and papers?

I like Japanese stationery. It is practical and functional yet simple. In recent years, stationary has become popular and trend in Japan. In fact, there is a stationary theme cafe in trendy district Omotesando.

Bunbougu cafe (bunbougu means stationery in Japanese) is located in a basement on the narrow street between Omotesando and Harajuku.
Although the place is a little hard to find, the process of finding it brings excitement, like finding a hidden secret base.

Inside of the cafe is much more spacier and brighter than how it looks from its entrance.
It is like stepping into wonderland.
A large open kitchen in the middle that is surrounded by about 60 tables produce vivid atmosphere of the place.

A main attraction of this place is that you can freely use all these stationery ranging from colored pencils to sketchbooks and cute little erasers that are placed everywhere in the cafe.
It is fun to simply look around and see various kinds of stationery.
Good thing is that If you found something you like after using, you can purchase it.

Even Though it is themed cafe, foods and drinks remain high quality as well.
Reasonable priced set lunches are made from healthy and seasonal ingredients.
They also have a small selection of wine to choose from.

Over the past few years, “themed-based cafe” have been part of Tokyo landscape, such as maid cafe and cafe.

This place is a must-go place for any stationery lovers.
