As Ikebukuro is a popular spot to find delicious eats at low prices, it comes to no surprise that the izakaya chain Torikizoku set up a few shops all around the station to meet the needs of locals and tourists who pass by. Here, everything on the menu is only 298 yen!

They have a great selection of Yakitori and drinks, and you can get all you can eat cabbage as well. They are open from 5:00pm until 5:00am every day except for Sundays, when they close at midnight. So, it’s a great spot to enjoy cheap eats if you have to wait for the first train.

Although you can find pork-based ramen just about everywhere in Tokyo, Ikebukuro has a small yet popular ramen restaurant that uses chicken as their main feature. Tori no Ana has a few ramen dishes to choose from and if you are adventurous, you can also try the Tsukemen too.

With a rich and creamy broth and with slices of roast chicken available, the taste is exquisite and will leave you wanting more. They are open from 11:00am until 10:00pm every day but can get quite crowded during the lunch rush, so it’s usually better to visit mid-afternoon.

Tobu Ikebukuro Food Hall

At the top floors of the Tobu Department Store, you will find a variety of options to dine on. Tobu Ikebukuro Restaurants vary from French cuisine at FAUCHON PARIS Le Café, Italian cuisine at Amico Bio ‘e Napule, to even conveyor belt sushi at Sushi Toriton.

Depending on your mood, you can even relax with a cup of tea at Afternoon Tea, or just grab a coffee at Starbucks. The choice is yours! Seibu Ikebukuro Food Hall

Located on the East side of Ikebukuro station, you will find many Seibu Ikebukuro restaurants, cafes, and more. To start, we recommend visiting the bottom floors of the Seibu department store to explore the world of Depachika, or department store basements in Japanese!

Here you will find a great variety of food as far as the eye can see. From local ingredients, souvenirs, and quick snacks that you can eat to go, the Depachika is a great place to see what Japan has to offer.

Moving up from the basement, we can visit the 8th and 9th floors which have a few restaurants that serve as the Seibu dining park. Depending on what you are in the mood for, you can try a selection of Western, Chinese, Japanese food and that is just to start!

The Seibu Department store opens at 10:00am until 9:00pm (8:00pm on Sundays) everyday, though many restaurants open from 11:00am until 11:00pm, so make sure to check out the store guide for further details.

Much like Seibu and Tobu department stores, you can find a great selection of food and cuisine over at Lumine’s restaurants. The majority of them are located on the 8th and 9th floors of the department store and offer a great selection of Japanese cuisine, with a mix of Thai and Chinese restaurants as well.

Lumine opens from 11:00am until 9:30pm (9:00pm on weekends) every day with many of the restaurants open from 11:00am until 10:30pm with last order at 10:00pm. It’s easy to get to and definitely one of our department store recommendations.
