If you are looking to eat some delicious yakitori, then you have to head under the tracks near Yurakucho Gado Shita. If the sight of smoke doesn’t give it away, the mouth watering smell of yakitori will lead you to several small restaurants that serve a variety of skewered meat and veggies.

Also known as Yakitori Alley, there are many restaurants to choose from. Though many shops do not open until late afternoon, the yakitori shops get really packed in the evening, so we recommend visiting early to guarantee a table at these popular restaurants.

Yurakucho is popular for its many izakaya and bars in the area. The bulk of the izakaya can be found simply by following the alleys adjacent to the train tracks above. Many of the izakaya’s all offer a great selection of alcohol and beer, with many of them focusing on seafood, yakitori, or western finger foods.

Many izakaya are only open in the evening and can get crowded after 6:00pm, but with so many izakaya’s to choose from in Yurakucho, you are sure to find the perfect one to have a great evening!

Yurakucho Sanchoku Inshokugai

Known as the place where you can find many restaurants under the train tracks, Yurakucho Sanchoku Inshokugai takes you back to the past with its Showa era atmosphere. Here many restaurants offer a cosy seating arrangement, and each specializes in different types of dishes like: fish, pork, chicken, shellfish, dumplings, and more!

The Yurakucho Sanchoku Inshokugai has finished its construction to reinforce the structure. You can enjoy fish, horse, pork, and chicken specialty restaurants there!

Yurakucho Station

Yurakucho Station is conveniently located between Hibiya and Ginza. Here you can find access to the JR East Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line, as well as the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. This makes it convenient to get to from other popular tourist spots in Tokyo.

In the underground area of the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho station, you can find walkways that can lead you all the way to Ginza station, with a direct underground access to popular buildings, such as the Tokyu Plaza Ginza.
