Toden Arakawa is the last streetcar line in Tokyo and is running for 12 km in the northern part of the city.

The 41 existing streetcar lines disappeared one after another, and the two last ones left (Arakawa-Waseda and Minowabashi-Akabane) have been merged into the Toden Arakawa line.

Toden Arakawa line is running from Waseda University to Minowabashi passing through the Oji area.

Most of the line passes through the Arakawa ward, that’s why it has been named Toden Arakawa line.

Toden Arakawa line runs throughout northern Tokyo, which has a more retro and familial vibes than the Atouristic district per say.

The Toden Arakawa line itself has a retro style and the one-car streetcar is very popular among train lovers.

Many models of streetcar are still running, more or less modern.
