The shrine Kanda Myojin is one of the most important shrines in Tokyo.


Located between the areas of Ochanomizu and Akihabara, Kanda Myojin is visited by many otaku, anime or idol fans from Akihabara which is just 5 minutes away by walk.



In most Japanese shrines you’ll find “Ema”, wooden plates where people write a wish.



The particularity of Kanda Myojin is that you can find hundred of “ema” where otaku draw their favorite characters!

 90% of the characters drawn are girls from various anime or games.

People are really talented! 

Most of the drawings are very well executed.

But, that’s still strange to see people praying or encouraging virtual characters.
If you come on weekends, there will be plenty of people coming to see these plates.
