Taiyaki and Croissant, Mixed!

※This article was published at March 2015.※

Hi, Navio here.

One simple question for you guys:
Do you guys like Croissant? Or maybe Taiyaki (fish shaped, Japanese traditional cake with filling) ?
Which one do you like better?

I love them both!

And I just made a big discovery last week.

Croissant Taiyaki, mixed!
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy~

Located in Shinjuku, just right in front of the Alta Studio building (that building with a very big screen, you can find it easily), the closest exit of the station is the East Exit.

So the Croissant Taiyaki has 3 different flavours (filling) :
1. Custard ¥210
2. Red beans  ¥210
3. Chocolate  ¥250
(tax included)

I went for the chocolate one, because chocolate is the standard flavour of a croissant (I think so.. haha)

Yep, Croissant is an original French sweet, and Taiyaki is Japanese traditional sweet.
So I could say that this sweet is ハーフ (Haafu = the way we call biracial person in Japan), haha.

As you can see they also use that kind of taiyaki maker.
I see, that’s why it’s called Croissant Taiyaki, not Taiyaki Croissant.
It is a Taiyaki!

I could say that I was really satisfied with the service.
Lightning speed! :))

Itadakimasu!
It was really delicious, with melting chocolate inside and crunchy outer, I will definitely come back for more next time!
