Major Renovation of 594 Guest Rooms and the Lobby
To provide an even more comfortable stay, Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel has been renovating its guest rooms since June 2025.
The renovation covers 594 out of the total 830 rooms, across 7 types. All targeted guest rooms are scheduled to be fully renovated by early September 2026.
Furthermore, the lobby was also newly reopened on July 15, 2026. The guest rooms are themed around "Ariake = the moon at dawn," while the lobby is designed with the sky, sea, and waterscape of Ariake in mind, creating a unified world throughout the hotel.
Touring the Renovated Guest Rooms Inspired by the "Ariake Moon"
The concept for the renovated guest rooms is "premium comfort." "Ariake," which is also part of the hotel's name, refers to the area where the hotel is located, but in Japanese, it also means "the moon that remains in the sky even after dawn."
The guest rooms feature soft indirect lighting reminiscent of moonlight and wall designs inspired by the moon. The spaces are kept simple, without excessive decoration, creating a tranquil and warm atmosphere.

Deluxe Single Room: Ideal for Solo Travelers or Business Trips
The Deluxe Single Room is a guest room with an area of 14.3㎡, accommodating one guest.
Power outlets and USB ports are installed around the bed. There is also a space to place your smartphone, making it easy to charge and operate your device while lying in bed.
The television is wall-mounted, giving the limited space in the room a clean and open feel.This room is ideal for solo travelers or those on business trips to Tokyo who are looking for a compact and functional guest room.
Superior Twin Room Recommended for Two Travelers
The Superior Twin Room is 21.5㎡ in size and accommodates 1 to 2 guests. With two beds, it is a convenient choice for friends, couples, or families traveling to Tokyo.
Like the Deluxe Single Room, it features a wall design inspired by the moon and indirect lighting.
Additionally, the Superior Room is equipped with a foldable luggage rack. This is a convenient feature for travelers who frequently take items in and out of their suitcases.

A New Lobby Filled with Water and Light, Offering a Sense of Openness
The concept of the new lobby is “an extraordinary oasis wrapped in shimmering water and light.”
The design is based on blue, inspired by the sky, sea, and waterscapes of Ariake, and soft natural colors. The high atrium and large windows make use of natural light, creating a space that evokes the reflections and gentle ripples of water.
In the center of the lobby, there is a boat-shaped sofa where guests can actually sit and take photos. On the ceiling, there is a fabric art installation that sways, and the lighting creates patterns reminiscent of the water’s surface.
The counter seats surrounded by trees are designed so that you can easily place your suitcase at your feet. Japanese Type A power outlets are also provided, making it convenient for working on your computer or checking your itinerary before departure.
The symbolic zone, which expresses the Ariake moon and the shimmering surface of the water, is recommended as a photo spot because sitting on the sofa makes you feel as if you are being gently rocked in a small boat.
A Dedicated Room for Organizing Luggage and Changing Clothes
As part of this renovation, a new “Packing & Dressing Room” exclusively for hotel guests has been established.
The room is equipped with a packing table large enough to open a suitcase on, a counter with a dresser mirror, a fitting space, power outlets, hanger hooks, and more. Guests can use this room both before check-in and after check-out.
It is convenient for repacking items or event goods purchased at Tokyo Big Sight into your suitcase, or for changing clothes before a concert or exhibition.

The first-floor restaurant “Georgetown” offers a breakfast buffet with Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes.
One of the highlights is the seafood rice bowl, which you can customize with your favorite toppings.
You can enjoy as much fresh seafood as you like, including Hokkaido scallops, salmon and negitoro sourced from the nearby Toyosu Market, and shirasu (whitebait).
There are also other popular Japanese delicacies such as grilled eel (unagi kabayaki), as well as bread, hot dishes, salads, and desserts, allowing you to create a breakfast that suits your plans and preferences for the day.

This special room allows you to sit in the driver's seat of the Yurikamome, which operates with unmanned automatic driving, and touch the levers and instruments. The TV plays footage from the Yurikamome train windows, letting you experience what it feels like to be a train operator.
