About Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center
Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center opened in 2012. It was built to help people visiting Taito in Tokyo gather various information. It has various levels from underground floor 1 all the way to floor 8, all of which have different facilities available. Make sure to check out the exterior of the building before entering, as it is simply stunning!
It's made from wood in the shape of a traditional-style Japanese roof. Also, by leaving the gaps and stacking the pieces one on top of another, the building was able to be fitted with more glass, allowing for a modern atmosphere. It's a great combination of traditional and stylish, which will surely pull your eyes towards it without you even realizing it.
Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center actually received the 2012 Good Design Award!
It's located close to the popular Kaminarimon Gate, meaning you can visit easily during your trip to Asakusa.
