1. "Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport" to Reopen on July 7!
The "Noto Satoyama Airport," which serves as the gateway to Noto and its main hub for air travel, will be renewed and reopened for a limited time as the world's first Pokémon-themed airport, "Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport" (hereafter referred to as "the airport").
The opening is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and the airport will operate under this theme until September 30, 2029.
The airport's original logo features a bright and vibrant design, expressing the desire to deliver energy and cheerfulness.
Inspired by the Poké Ball and Pikachu, the logo incorporates the shape of the Noto Peninsula, as well as the smiling faces of local residents and travelers.
In the airport's distinctive two-story atrium, a large Pikachu and airplane balloon float as symbols, surrounded by countless Pokémon soaring happily through the sky in the decorations.
Starting with this atrium, the airport premises are decorated with all 111 Flying-type Pokémon discovered as of May 2026. Please try to find them all!
*Excluding Mega Evolutions, regional forms, etc.
In the first floor arrival lobby, a large decoration features the "Akarui Mirai" ("Bright Future") art, which was created in 2024 to support the recovery of Noto. The scenery, reminiscent of Noto's rich natural environment, warmly welcomes travelers upon their arrival.
Pikachu, Plusle, and Minun, who were depicted at the center of the artwork, are now waiting to welcome guests as three-dimensional monuments.
The logo mark is also displayed as a decoration on the upper part of the airport exterior.
The pillars at the airport entrance are lined with Pokémon, creating an exciting atmosphere for the start of your journey.
In addition, you can enjoy Pokémon decorations in various places, such as the airport entrances and exits, and the boarding bridges that connect the airport to the airplanes.
On the second-floor wall, there are decorations depicting the daily lives of Pokémon as they might be at airports around the world. If you look closely, you’ll notice that some of the signs throughout the airport have also been given a Pokémon-themed design. Have fun discovering what kinds of signs are where!
2. Fun Activities Inside the Airport
There are many other fun activities prepared inside the airport.
[Observation Deck “Pikachu no Satoyama”]
On the airport’s observation deck, you’ll find countless Pikachu! True to the “Satoyama” (countryside) in the airport’s name, Pikachu are creating a landscape of their own. If you look closely, you’ll spot a few other Pokémon who have come to play among them. Can you find them all?
[Three Short Videos: Airport Side Stories]
Bagon, who dreams of flying, spends his days training hard in hopes that he’ll soar someday.
Soon, even the people at the airport start cheering him on. Will Bagon’s dream come true?
Inside the airport, you can enjoy three original short videos using your smartphone.
One of them, “Fly! Bagon,” tells the story of Bagon, who longs for the sky. There is a monument of Bagon looking up at Salamence inside the airport, which is linked to the video.
The other two videos are also original stories that make your journey through the airport and around the Noto Peninsula even more enjoyable.
3. Airport Original Art “Kibou no Sora”
This artwork, named “Kibou no Sora” (“Sky of Hope”), is an original piece created to commemorate the opening of the airport.
With many flying Pokémon, dazzling light, and sparkling rainbows, it expresses the longing for the sky, the joy of flying freely, and the “hope” of setting out on a new journey. The artwork will be featured in various decorations throughout the airport, on original goods sold at shops, and even on wrapped buses.
4. Airport Restaurant: Pokémon Original Menu
On the 3rd floor of the airport, at "Restaurant Annon," you can enjoy original Pokémon menu items exclusive to the airport (two types of pancakes and two types of drinks are planned).
Additionally, if you order a set of pancakes and a drink, it will be served with an original placemat.
5. Sale of Original Airport Shop Goods
On the 2nd floor of the airport, at the shop "Serendipity," original products featuring the airport logo and the airport’s original artwork "Kibou no Sora" will be available for purchase.
In addition to T-shirts and keychains, there will also be items unique to the airport such as luggage tags and suitcase belts. Be sure to pick some up as souvenirs from your trip.
*Please note that the number of products is limited.
*To allow as many customers as possible to purchase, there may be restrictions on the number of items you can buy. For details, please check in-store.
6. Travel Around the Noto Peninsula Starting from the Airport (Pokémon-Themed Bus Service)
From mid-July, after the airport opens, two buses from the Hokuriku Railway Group will appear in Ishikawa Prefecture decorated with Pokémon wraps.
This is an express bus connecting Kanazawa Station, the airport, and Wajima City.
The Pokémon-wrapped bus is scheduled to run once round-trip per day.
This route is convenient for visitors who wish to sightsee around Kanazawa City and the surrounding area.
A new sightseeing bus will operate, connecting various Pokémon sightseeing spots located throughout the Noto Peninsula from the airport. This includes the "Wakura Pokémon Foot Bath," which opened in Wakura Onsen, Nanao City on May 12, 2026, and the "Sylveon with LOVE" monument in Suzu City—Pokémon spots you can only experience in the Noto Peninsula. This sightseeing bus is perfect for visiting these unique locations.
*Operation is limited to weekends and holidays (excluding the winter season), as well as during summer vacation (from mid-July), and other limited periods.
Further details, including design and operation information, will be announced at a later date.
*Airport introduction video
Today, an airport introduction video has also been released on the Noto sightseeing information site "Burari Noto Net."
