The most famous is the Daimonji bonfire on Mount Nyoi, whose flames stand out boldly against the summer night sky, creating a solemn and mystical atmosphere. Since the fires can be seen from many places around the city, it’s a beloved tradition watched in quiet reverence by large crowds.
