Lee's Travelog - Part 3 What to eat and buy in Rokkosan's Pasture

I hope you are sufficiently hungry from Part 2 of my Rokkosan Pasture series. Today, I will introduce the delicious food available at the pasture and give some suggestions on what to buy as a souvenir.

During my visit, I managed to try four types of food - Cheese Karaage (fried chicken), Curry Cheese Stick, Kobe Beef Croquette, and lastly, the Milk-Cheese soft serve. All the dairy products served in the Pasture were created on site, and hence freshness was guaranteed.

The Cheese fried chicken (400 Yen) was fresh out of the fryer, and a generous layer of cheese complemented the salty snack well. The Curry Cheese Stick (250 Yen) is a puff pastry wrapped curry and cheese finger food.

My favorites, the Kobe Beef Croquette (400 Yen) and Milk-Cheese soft serve (380 Yen), can never be adequately expressed in words. The smoothness of the potato mash and bits of delicious Kobe Beef paired so well together that the glutton in me had to have two.

I closed the meal with an exquisite soft-serve. The flavor of the cheese was present and not too overpowering, most importantly, there wasn't an artificial vanilla flavor about it.

Satiated, I explored the gift shop to bring some souvenirs back. It was suggested that I buy the Rare Cheese Dessert (1080 Yen) as it was another Rokkosan Pasture specialty. All in all, it was a wonderful experience at the Rokkosan Pasture. I would highly suggest for you to go if you are in the Kobe area.
