Halloween has arrived once again at Tokyo Disney Resort® this autumn!
The 2026 "Disney Halloween" event will be held from Wednesday, September 16 to Saturday, October 31. At Tokyo Disneyland®, the parade will feature the Disney Villains as the main stars, while at Tokyo DisneySea®, you can enjoy "Lazos de la Familia," themed after the Disney & Pixar film "Coco."
In addition, there will be plenty of special seasonal decorations, food, merchandise, and even full-costume dressing that adults can enjoy—unique experiences only available during this time of year.
This time, the FUN! JAPAN editorial team attended a press preview for the media and got to experience Disney Halloween 2026 ahead of everyone else!
Tokyo Disneyland: A Dark and Enchanting World Where Villains Take Center Stage
At Tokyo Disneyland, the Halloween party hosted by the Disney Villains is back again this year. Pumpkins, ghosts, and other decorations are scattered throughout the park, creating a mysterious and glamorous atmosphere that's a little different from usual.
The Popular Parade: "The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy'"
A must-see at Tokyo Disneyland's Halloween is "The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy'." Along the parade route, the Disney Villains invite guests to a captivating Halloween party.

The parade lasts about 45 minutes and is performed once a day. Colorful villains such as Dr. Facilier from "The Princess and the Frog," Cruella de Vil from "101 Dalmatians," Captain Hook from "Peter Pan," and Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty" all make appearances.
When the parade stops, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and other Disney friends join in, dancing with guests to the music! As the excitement reaches its peak, you can also enjoy powerful effects like flames and smoke rising from the floats.
Be sure to experience this Halloween-exclusive entertainment, where the cool and mysterious vibe of the villains merges with the unique glamour of Disney.

Halloween Photo Spots Decorating the Park
To get even more into the Halloween spirit, be sure to check out the park's decorations.
At the entrance, the Mickey flower bed gets a Halloween makeover, while a giant pumpkin photo spot welcomes guests in World Bazaar.
Around Cinderella Castle, you'll find ghost decorations inspired by the villains, as well as displays of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dressed in costumes from “The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy'”.
Additionally, a new photo spot has been added to Toontown this year.
Whether you visit in character costumes or casual clothes, everyone can enjoy these photogenic Halloween spots.
“Night High Halloween” Colours the Night Sky
At night, the limited-time Halloween fireworks show “Night High Halloween” will be held. Colorful fireworks light up the night sky to the sounds of Halloween-themed music.

“Haunted Mansion” Gets a Limited-Time Special Version
In Fantasyland’s “Haunted Mansion,” the “Holiday Nightmare” event will be held from Tuesday, September 15, 2026 to Thursday, January 7, 2027.
With special effects inspired by the movie “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas,” you can enjoy a world different from the usual “Haunted Mansion.”
This is a limited-time program running from Halloween through Christmas, so if you’re visiting the park during this season, be sure to check it out.
Tokyo DisneySea: Step Into the World of “Coco”
At Tokyo DisneySea, in addition to the fun of Halloween, a special event themed after the movie "Coco" called "Lazos de la Familia" (Spanish for "Family Bonds") is being held.
This year, the event area is even larger than last year, and Lost River Delta will be transformed into the vibrant world of "Coco."
Lost River Delta "Lazos de la Familia"
The first thing you'll notice in Lost River Delta is the colorful decorations inspired by "Día de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead), which also appears in the movie's story.
Among them, the most impressive is the "Puente del Río Perdido," the bridge spanning the Lost River Delta.
The bridge is adorned with marigolds, which are said to guide souls, and is illuminated after sunset. The atmosphere becomes even more magical and enchanting, different from the daytime.
During the event period, there will also be performances by "Mariachi Lazos de la Familia," a family group that carries on the tradition of Mexican mariachi music.
The cheerful music and vibrant dances liven up the Lost River Delta, making you feel even closer to the world of the movie.
There will also be a greeting event with Miguel, the main character of the movie.
During the day, Miguel appears in his "Land of the Living" outfit, and in the afternoon, he changes into his "Land of the Dead" attire. Be sure to check out his different looks depending on the time of day!
Halloween Greeting Event
At Mediterranean Harbor, the "Disney Halloween Greeting" will also take place. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Duffy, ShellieMay, and others will appear on a boat decorated with a giant pumpkin.
Costumes inspired by pumpkins and sweets are perfect for Halloween, creating a bright and lively atmosphere. Combined with the festive mood of Tokyo DisneySea’s 25th anniversary, you can enjoy a glamorous greeting unique to this year.
Unique to Japan! “D-Hallo” – The Full-Costume Culture Adults Truly Embrace
When talking about Disney Halloween in Japan, you can’t miss the costume culture known as “D-Hallo.” At Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, guests are allowed to enter the parks in full Disney character costumes for a limited time.
As you walk through the park, you may encounter guests who have recreated the world of their favorite characters not only through costumes, but also with hairstyles, makeup, and accessories.
One of the unique joys of D-Hallo is strolling through the park wondering, “What kind of character costumes will I see today?”
[Essential Guide] Costume Rules & Etiquette to Avoid Issues
To fully enjoy D-Hallo, it’s important to check the costume rules in advance.
In 2026, full costume entry is allowed only during the limited periods of September 15 (Tue) to September 30 (Wed), and October 16 (Fri) to October 31 (Sat).
Also, there are no changing areas inside the park. Please make sure to change and do your makeup at home or at your accommodation before coming. Changing or applying makeup in restrooms or coin locker areas inside or outside the park is strictly prohibited.
There are also rules regarding which characters and costumes are allowed, what items you can bring, and makeup. If you plan to dress up, be sure to check Tokyo Disney Resort’s “Requests Regarding Costumes” before your visit.

Disney Resort Line Halloween Free Ticket
Halloween is coming not only to the parks but also to the Disney Resort Line.
Starting Tuesday, September 15, Day Passes featuring a "Disney Halloween" design and original souvenir medals will be available for purchase.
You can buy them at the automatic ticket machines at each station, so if you use the Disney Resort Line to travel between parks, be sure to check them out as a souvenir.
