The 25th anniversary event "Sparkling Jubilee" of Tokyo DisneySea® (TDS), which opened in 2001, kicked off on Thursday, April 9, 2026!
This time, I participated in the media and press preview ahead of the official opening, and as someone who toured the park, I will report on the "real on-site highlights" you’ll want to know before your visit.

【Show Experience】Duffy & Friends All Gather at the Harbor!
The biggest surprise I felt while actually watching the "Sparkling Jubilee Celebration" held at Mediterranean Harbor was the overwhelming sense of "unity."
The Spectacular Characters Appearing Right Before Your Eyes
Seeing Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Duffy and friends all dressed in special blue (Jubilee Blue) costumes and gathered together on a single barge was truly breathtaking! Also, the cheers from the crowd when Duffy & Friends and other characters appeared from unexpected places were especially loud, even during the press preview, which left a strong impression.
The Excitement of the "Count Up" Felt On-site
There is a part of the show where the music stops and everyone—cast members and guests alike—counts up to “25” together in unison. This is an excitement you can only experience in person! The moment when the entire harbor becomes one is so captivating, you might even forget to take photos.
Recommended Viewing Spots
The only area with reserved seating entry available is "Piazza Topolino," located directly in front of the central harbor. On the left side, "Lido Isle," and on the right, the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line boarding area, some characters and cast members appear on land, so you may be able to enjoy seeing them up close.

【Stage Show】Guests Join In! The Excitement of "Dance the Globe!"
After about 12 years, the stage at Waterfront Park has made its comeback with the advance performance of "Dance the Globe!" having premiered in advance on Wednesday, January 14. In celebration of the 25th anniversary, the costumes have been changed to the event’s theme color, "Jubilee Blue." This stage show focuses on music and dance, so even if you don't understand the language, you can still enjoy it. To watch the show, you need to either enter the free lottery via the official app or purchase the paid Disney Premier Access (DPA).
Guests Dance Together!
During the show, there is a scene where guests stand up and join in the dance. The mix of music from around the world ensures that even international guests will have a great time!
Spectacular Finale Performance
In the finale, the Tokyo DisneySea 25th anniversary theme song "Come Join the Jubilee" plays, and the impressive pyrotechnics (fireworks) light up the sky—an experience unique to an outdoor stage. Even if you’re not in the front row, you can still feel the excitement.

Here are the highlights of the merchandise, food, and special experiences you can enjoy during the 25th anniversary celebration.
Sparkling Jubilee Merchandise and Food
A wide variety of Jubilee Blue-themed merchandise is now available! Some items will be sold throughout the year until Wednesday, March 31, 2027, while others will be released during the event period, so be sure to check them out.
There are also plenty of Jubilee Blue-themed food and drinks available for a limited time only. It’s fun just to think about how to take the best photos of these eye-catching items.
The Return of "Today"!?
"Today" refers to the small booklet that used to be handed out to guests upon entry before it became available as a smartphone app. It featured the latest information on shows, parades, merchandise, menus, and more, with a different cover each month, making it a collectible item for some fans. For longtime fans, it was a familiar item. While the booklet currently being distributed is not "Today" but rather a "leaflet" introducing the 25th anniversary content in the park, passionate fans are delighted, saying it feels like "Today" has made a comeback.
The stickers are also in 25th anniversary designs. Enjoy AR content too!
The free stickers you can receive from Cast Members also feature special 25th anniversary designs. When I asked a Cast Member, they even wrote my name on it! On the back of the sticker, there is a printed QR code, which you can scan with your smartphone to enjoy AR content. There is also a balloon version of the sticker, so be sure to ask Cast Members and try to find it!
The Disney Resort Line also features Jubilee Blue designs
The Disney Resort Line wrapped in 25th anniversary designs also features special interiors. The free tickets and medals available for purchase inside the ticket gates are also in 25th anniversary versions.
[Nighttime Production] The tranquil sea is magically transformed into "Jubilee Blue"
After sunset, the park shifts from the festive daytime atmosphere to a fantastical mood.
"Sparkling Jubilee Night" turns Hotel MiraCosta into a canvas
During the "Sparkling Jubilee Night," projection mapping is displayed across the entire wall of the Harborside and Hotel MiraCosta. The emotional content, which looks back on 25 years of history, is beautifully complemented by the elegant melody of the theme song "Come Join the Jubilee," moving some guests to tears. After the show, applause could be heard throughout the venue.
Photo Spots That Shine at Night, Such as Arabian Coast
Photo spots throughout the park become even more beautiful after sunset.
A surprisingly hidden gem is the Arabian Coast. The central plaza is enveloped in blue light, and every few minutes, a light show takes place centered around the Genie monument. Also, the exotic nighttime beauty of the two-story attraction, Caravan Carousel, is a must-see.

Jubilee Blue Memories: Special Keepsakes
I stopped by "Remembranze," located on Ponte Vecchio, the bridge in Mediterranean Harbor. There, only guests who purchase a special bottle can enter the area, where you can choose one "Jubilee Blue Stone" and take photogenic photos.

S.S. Columbia Jubilee Gala: Charter a Luxury Liner
This is a paid program where you can enjoy special greetings and meals aboard a luxury cruise ship. You can savor a special menu at the "S.S. Columbia Dining Room," enjoy free drinks at the "Teddy Roosevelt Lounge," receive exclusive merchandise, and take commemorative photos on board. As the event is reserved exclusively for participating guests, you can spend a relaxing and elegant time.
