Hiroshima has its own way of preparing okonomiyaki. Unlike the other common type of okonomiyaki, Hiroshima-style includes noodles at their base. If the usual style is to mix them all together, like the Kansai/Osaka-style, Hiroshima-style on the other hand layers the ingredients on top of each other. And Hiroshima-style is normally prepared by the chefs and served to you on a plate.

If you don’t know where to start to find a good place for a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, head to Okonomimura, a food plaza for Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki. They have a number of restaurants that serve okonomiyaki.

Hotel Granvia Hiroshima’s Many Choices of Restaurants

If you want a little bit of a classy restaurant, the Hotel Granvia Hiroshima offers many choices of restaurants, ranging from local dishes and seasonal delicacies from the Seto Inland Sea, foreign cuisines such as Chinese and Western dishes, buffet restaurant, to bars and tea lounges. Some of the restaurants are on floor 21, and dining here will grants you a great view of the city of Hiroshima from above.

If you think you can handle your food, and wanted to try different kinds of dishes, why not you try go “Dish Parade”, a buffet restaurant which offers you from 2000 yen (around RM80) for lunch buffet for adult, and from 3200 yen (around RM120) for dinner buffet for adult. It is a pretty good price for a buffet at a hotel level if I have to say.

Great Price of a Dinner at Grand Prince Hiroshima’s Restaurant

Another classy restaurant you can find within a hotel premise is in Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima. This hotel also has a number of restaurants, from local cuisine to western and Chinese cuisine, where most of the restaurants are at the higher levels, where you can have a great view of the Seto Inland Sea during sunset.

People would normally associate hotel’s restaurant with a high price tag. While some of the restaurants in Grand Prince Hiroshima is slight on the higher price, about 5000 yen to 7000 yen per dinner (around RM190 to RM260), but one of the restaurant name “Nadaman Japanese Restaurant” on the 20th floor, which serves Kaiseki-style meals, featuring fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, at just the cost from 3920 yen (around RM150), that is definitely a great deal.

And not to forget, it also has its own Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki restaurant, which cost from as low as 950 yen (around RM37).
