Now with even greater value! Tourist-exclusive Kyoto-Osaka Sightseeing Pass now includes access to Hirakata Park or Greater Kurama & Kibune Area.

Keihan Railway and Eizan Railway have partnered to offer tourists two new options of the Kyoto-Osaka Sightseeing Pass, ‘Kyoto-Osaka Sightseeing Pass – for Hirakata Park’ and the ‘Kyoto-Osaka Sightseeing Pass – Greater Kurama & Kibune Area’. Both options include unlimited rides on all Keihan Railway lines which connect Osaka to major sightseeing spots in Kyoto such as Fushimi-Inari Shrine and Kiyomizudera. The Hirataka Park option includes entry to the amusement park, while the Kurama & Kibune option includes unlimited usage of the Eizan Railway Lines servicing beautiful, nature-rich northern Kyoto, including the Yase – Mt Hiei area.

Eizan Railway Momiji (Maple Tree) Tunnel

Between Ichihara and Ninose Stations on the Eizan Electric Railway, there is a 250m stretch of maple trees growing on both sides called the Momiji Tunnel. The railway line is illuminated during the Kibune maple lantern event. All lights are turned off and the train runs at a leisurely pace through this stretch to allow passengers to fully enjoy the mystical view from the windows.

Hirakata Park

Hirakata Park is the oldest amusement park operating in Japan. Boasting more than 40 attractions, from milder kid-friendly rides to exhilarating ones aimed at thrill-seekers, there is something for everyone to enjoy. What’s more, the park offers seasonal activities throughout the year, like a wading pool in summer and an ice-skating rink in winter.
