The Hokuriku Support Discount, which is scheduled to be implemented from March, is a discount that will be implemented in response to the Noto earthquake. What is the Hokuriku Support Discount? Until when can it be used?

The Hokuriku Support Discount, which is set to be introduced to support the tourism industry in the Hokuriku region that was affected by the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake" that occurred on January 1, 2024. Let's start by explaining the overview.

Introduced to support the tourism industry in the Hokuriku region, which was affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred in January 2024.

The target areas are Ishikawa, Toyama, Fukui, and Niigata prefectures. The subsidy rate is up to 50% per person per night for accommodation, with a maximum of 20,000 yen. Packaged tours that include transportation costs such as Shinkansen and highway buses are also eligible for discounts. If you stay for two or more nights in the same prefecture and purchase a package tour, the maximum discount per person is 30,000 yen. For tours that include stays in two or more prefectures, the maximum is 35,000 yen.

※The Noto region is considering implementing up to 70% travel support depending on the recovery situation.

Also, each prefecture will also offer support discounts.

Hokuriku Support Discount 'Ishikawa Support Travel Discount' (First Edition)

*Travel and accommodation applications made after the reservation start date are eligible

Hokuriku Support Discount "Fukui de Discount Campaign"

※It will end as soon as the budget runs out

Reservation start date

March 8, 2024 (Friday)
※Applies to travel and accommodation booked after the reservation start date
※Business travel and accommodation are not eligible

Fukui Prefecture registered accommodation travel and stay

(Including foreign visitors)

①Accommodation only fee: 20,000 yen

②Accommodation travel product with transportation (1 night): 20,000 yen

③Accommodation travel product with transportation (2 nights or more): 30,000 yen

Hokuriku Support Discount "Niigata Support Travel Discount Campaign"

From Saturday, March 16, 2024 to Friday, April 26, 2024 for accommodation

Users of products sold by accommodation operators and travel agents participating in this campaign

③Tour-type travel products (accommodation in 2 or more prefectures): 35,000 yen

Hokuriku Shinkansen's Kanazawa to Tsuruga section will open on March 16, 2024 (Saturday), starting from that day until the stay on April 26 (Friday). However, please note that the application will end when the budget reaches 9.44 billion yen.

Can foreigners use the Hokuriku Support Discount?

This time, the Hokuriku support discount has no residential restrictions, so it can be used by foreigners as well.

How to Apply

You can make a reservation at a discounted price through the travel booking site participating in the campaign, travel agencies, or the homepage of the accommodation facility. As it is on a first-come, first-served basis, we recommend checking regularly.

There are no plans to issue regional coupons, but Toyama Prefecture is planning to issue its own coupons. The current plan under consideration is to distribute electronic coupons (1,000 yen to 3,000 yen) that can be used at restaurants and souvenir shops to travelers to Toyama Prefecture from March, separate from the Hokuriku Support Discount.

Please note that these cannot be used for day trips.
