Namba Walk is an underground shopping street situated in the center of the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line's Namba Station, and at the eastern ends of Osaka Metro Nippombashi Station to west of JR Namba Station. You can enjoy shopping or going out to eat even on rainy days! This time, we'd like to introduce different conveniences and facilities that Namba Walk has to offer.

What is Namba Walk? An Underground Paradise for Shopping!

Namba Walk, located in Osaka City's Namba, is an underground shopping arcade at a total of 715 metres in length connected to three of the major stations in the area. The arcade is split into three areas, with a total of 237 different shops. There are plenty of shops to choose from, including fashion, beauty, novelty goods, and souvenirs. You won't want to miss all the new items on display in this vast shopping arcade! It also has plenty of restaurants and cafes to relax or enjoy a meal at, from Japanese, to western, Chinese, or even sweets.

There are five different plazas situated throughout Namba Walk, which are used to display works of art, exhibitions, or events. For example, the Art Park in the 1st Avenue and the 3rd Avenue's News Park have displayed works of art from the Art Institute of Chicago, turning it into a veritable art museum street! There's even a place called the Whale Park with a whale monument installation.

Since the station and Namba Walk are connected underground, you can enjoy shopping even on rainy days. There are even plenty of services aimed at foreign tourists, with lots of bargains to take advantage of. There are three different currency exchange areas, two coin locker areas, and 40 different shops with tax free services.

How to Access Namba Walk

It's very easy to access Namba Walk directly via Osaka Metro's Namba Station, Osaka Metro's Nippombashi Station, or JR Namba Station. You can also take a nonstop bus directly from Kansai International Airport to Osaka City Air Terminal (OCAT).
