~ Kyoto - Higo railway ~

There are also showcase and service counter. Industrial designer Eiji Mitooka has worked on the design of the train. The design theme is "pine." It symbolizes the white sand and green pine trees of Sea of Japan that represents Amanohashidate.

In the 1970s, the period when overseas travel was not common in Japan, owner of "Amanohashidate winery", Yamazaki-san, was going to California, America. He was still 18-year-old. With great sense and willingness to absorb and learn anything, Yamazaki-san has built “global” perspective.



While engaging in the business, Yamazaki-san has a dream to establish a winery. In 2001, the dream came true. "Amanohashidate winery" was born. A wide variety of grapes are grown in very large site. Locally harvested oyster shells are used for the root. Its minerals are necessary for the growth of grapes. It is also eco-friendly. Taking advantage of the strategic location of the sea, the attractiveness of Yamazaki-san wine is its local root and deep flavor representing the love for local.
