Odakyu Railway has made travel in Hakone all the more convenient with their "Hakone Freepass". About the Hakone Freepass

Visitors can utilize 8 (※) different transportation networks including, the Hakone Tozan Train, Hakone Tozan Cable Car, Hakone Ropeway, and Hakone Sightseeing Cruise. The pass also includes a discount round-trip ticket on the Odakyu Line (from station of departure to Odawara) and perks and discounts to use at museums, restaurants, and other various sightseeing spots. 2-day and 3-day passes are available, with fares depending on pass duration and station of departure. From Shinjuku Station

  • 2-Day Pass: Adults 5,700 yen, Children 1,500 yen
  • 3-Day Pass: Adults 6,100 yen, Children 1,750 yen

From Odawara, Gotemba, or Mishima Stations

  • 2-Day Pass: Adults 4,600 yen, Children 1,000 yen
  • 3-Day Pass: Adults 5,000 yen, Children 1,250 yen
  • ※ A surcharge is necessary to ride the Romancecar Limited Express

How to Purchase the Hakone Freepass

Note: To ride the Romancecar Limited Express, passengers will require the Freepass as well as a limited express train ticket.

The Hakone Freepass may be purchased at the Odakyu Sightseeing Service Center in Shinjuku and Odawara Stations, as well as the ticket machines at all Odakyu Line stations (from Shinjuku to Odawara). Tickets purchased at station ticket machines must be used the day they are purchased. Passes may also be purchased at various Odakyu travel kiosks.
