Tsunami in Kesennuma

Kesennuma Fish Market
Every day a lot of seafood is transferred to the fish market. Fish auctions begin in the morning on display inside the house with rows of fish. There is a 354 m long trip deck on the building's second floor. From the deck you can watch the market.

Kesennuma Shark Museum
Kesennuma Shark Museum is the only shark museum in Japan. Shark specimens are on display. You can also learn about the sea of Kesennuma, which has been resurrected after the earthquake.
The museum is located on the second floor of a tourism product manufacturer named "Umi no Ichi". There are also restaurants and souvenir shops that provide the specialties of Kesennuma. Credit card payments are not accepted. There is free Wi-Fi.
