Stay at One of the Miyajima Hotels

Do note that before you make your reservation, please order both dinner and breakfast as all restaurants on the island are closed by 5pm.
One of the hotels recommended is Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto. Established in early Edo period, the accommodations is about 400 years old, making it rich with history. It’s close to the entrance of the Itsukushima Shrine, whose red large gateway is the famous Great Torii Gate.
You can choose from western and Japanese style rooms. Each room is fully furnished to ensure your comfort during your stay. Do have a soak in their onsen if you would like to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

Miyajima Hotel Makoto
This traditional Japanese inn is close to the Miyajima ferry terminal and has 44 Japanese-style rooms. You can make use of their outdoor shared bath (same gender only) and there’s also a “family bath” that’s available for private use.
If you have a big appetite, then consider having kaiseki ryori at their on-site restaurant. With fresh seafood sourced from the Seto Inland Sea, you’re guaranteed quality dishes!
