From entertainment and attractions that will soak you to the bone and blow away the summer heat, to limited-time summer gourmet treats, Tokyo Disneyland® in 2026 is packed with seasonal delights! The special event "Summer Cool Off at Tokyo Disney Resort®," held from Thursday, July 2 to Monday, September 14, 2026, will once again feature a collaboration with Mrs. GREEN APPLE, making the summer park experience even more exciting.
This time, I attended the press preview for media and reporters and got an early look at Tokyo Disneyland. Here are the must-see highlights to fully enjoy Tokyo Disneyland in the summer of 2026!
Spectacular Water Splashes! "Baymax's Mission: Cool Down"
When it comes to summer parades at Tokyo Disneyland, "Baymax's Mission: Cool Down" is a must-see. Baymax, the healthcare companion robot from Disney's "Big Hero 6," helps guests cool down from the summer heat in this soaking-wet program.
As the float makes its way through the park to lively music, the whole area is instantly filled with a festive atmosphere. When Mrs. GREEN APPLE's "Carrying Happiness (Tokyo Disney Resort Version)" plays, the sense of unity among the crowd grows even stronger. It's an interactive entertainment experience where you can clap along to the music and move your body from side to side and up and down—it's more than just something to watch!
What surprised me was the sheer force of the water. I watched from near one of the parade's stopping points and couldn't help but laugh at how soaked I got—even my bag, which I had placed a little behind me, was drenched.
If you don't want to get wet, it's best to watch from a spot a little farther away from the route. On the other hand, if you want to fully enjoy the experience, be sure to bring rain gear, towels, or waterproof covers for peace of mind. The show is performed three times a day and lasts about 35 minutes each time.
Enjoy Soaking Wet & Refreshing Experiences All Around the Park! Limited-Time Summer Fun
During the "Summer Cool Off at Tokyo Disney Resort®" event, not only the parade but also popular attractions and areas are transformed for summer. You can enjoy refreshing ways to cool off throughout the park.
Toontown Transforms into a "Soaking Wet Area"!
Toontown is the cheerful home of Disney's animated Toons. In the Jolly Trolley garage, mist and water spray out, and water also shoots out from the Toontown Fire Department and the fireworks factory, so you can enjoy getting soaked throughout the area. It's a popular summer spot where both kids and adults can have a blast together.
On the day of my visit, it was a bit humid, but thanks to the splashing water, it actually felt quite cool!
Gadget's Go Coaster: A Refreshing Splash-Filled Ride
Gadget's Go Coaster in Toontown is also offering a special “soaked” version just for this summer! This small roller coaster, created by Gadget Hackwrench, races through towering sprays of water that shoot up like fountains.
Although it's a compact coaster, it offers an exhilarating sense of speed. The ride time is short, making it easy to stop by between other attractions, which is part of its appeal.
Jungle Cruise: Embark on a Jungle Adventure Tour with the Skipper
At the popular Adventureland attraction "Jungle Cruise: Wildlife Expeditions," a special limited-time version of the attraction invites guests to discover "the most important thing in the jungle." Set off on a thrilling adventure accompanied by the lively banter of the unique skippers.
Near the entrance to Adventureland, mist sprays out, so you can feel cool the moment you enter the area. The setup allows you to cool down just by walking around, which helps build excitement for your upcoming adventure!
I took the cruise myself, and was drawn in by the humorous guide and the animals of the jungle that appeared one after another, enjoying the whole experience with a smile. The children riding with me were also glued to the sights around them, completely absorbed in the world of the jungle.
In addition, before boarding, Cast Members also offer a paid instant photo service using a Cheki camera before boarding. The magic word is "Tomodachi!" ("Friends!")
After the cruise, you’ll receive a sticker as proof that you’ve learned “the most important thing in the jungle.” Be sure to get one as a memento of your adventure!
Baymax's Happy Ride: Ride Along to Music by Mrs. GREEN APPLE
“Baymax's Happy Ride,” a hugely popular attraction in Tomorrowland, also offers a unique experience during this season.
In addition to the six original songs usually played on the attraction, a limited-time track by Mrs. GREEN APPLE, "Carrying Happiness (Tokyo Disney Resort Version)," is now featured. The unpredictable movements of Baymax's healthcare companion robots as they pull the ride vehicles combined with the lively rhythm, make the experience even more fun and exciting!
"Toy Friends Stamp Rally" – Explore the World of "Toy Story 5"
To celebrate the release of "Toy Story 5" in Japan, a special event called "Fun Time with Toy Story 5" will be held in the park from Thursday, July 2 to Monday, September 14. In addition to merchandise and decorations inspired by the movie's world, the "Toy Friends Stamp Rally" is also a highlight.
Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and their friends will appear at six locations throughout the park, including Westernland, World Bazaar, and Tomorrowland. By holding your smartphone over the "Pixar Ball" at each location, you can collect stamps.
If you collect all six stamps, you'll receive an original sticker from a Cast Member. During my visit, many guests were enjoying the stamp rally!
Take Home Summer-Exclusive Goods & Food for Lasting Memories
After a day of fun, be sure to check out the summer-exclusive merchandise and food. In 2026, collaboration goods with Mrs. GREEN APPLE, items inspired by the world of "Toy Story 5," and limited-time cool menu items are available. The lineup offers plenty of ways to take home memories of your summer visit.
Summer-Exclusive Goods | Mrs. GREEN APPLE Collaboration & "Toy Story 5" Merchandise
This year's highlight is the collaboration merchandise with Japan's popular artist Mrs. GREEN APPLE, following last year's success.
There are plenty of items you'll want to wear in the park this summer, such as T-shirts, towels, and plush charms! Featuring a pastel purple color scheme with Baymax, musical notes, and treble clefs, the collection captures the vibrant, festive atmosphere of a music festival.
Adding even more excitement to your visit is the Baymax light-up toy (¥3,200). Equipped with an automatic synchronization feature, the lights change color in sync with the music played on "Baymax's Happy Ride"!
Also available are goods from "Fun Time with Toy Story 5." The lineup includes items featuring designs of the toys playing in Bonnie's room and motifs of characters from the movie. With T-shirts, mini towels, tote bags, and more, there are plenty of items you can use in your daily life.
Take a Break with Summer-Exclusive Pizza and Drinks | Pan Galactic Pizza Port
At Tomorrowland’s “Pan Galactic Pizza Port,” a limited-time summer menu inspired by the world of “Toy Story 5” is now available.
The Special Set (¥1,180; ¥900 à la carte) is served in a special package themed after “Pizza Planet,” the pizza restaurant featured in the movie. The pepperoni pizza, topped with star-shaped cheese, offers a perfect combination of freshly baked aroma and rich, melty cheese!
The limited-edition "Sparkling Drink (Fruit & Nata de Coco)" (¥700) is a colorful, eye-catching beverage. With its refreshing light carbonation, it’s perfect for cooling down on a hot day.
Fun and Colorful Summer Sweets | Huey, Dewey & Louie’s Good Time Café
If you want to enjoy the summer vibe in Toontown, “Huey, Dewey & Louie’s Good Time Café” is the place to go.
The "Shaved Ice (Melon Syrup, Strawberry & Whipped Cream)" (¥600; pictured on the right) we tried is a summer-only sweet with a vibrant, colorful appearance. The crunchy ice, fruity syrup, and the texture of blue jelly make it a treat you can enjoy until the very last bite.
Also available is a collaboration drink with Mrs. GREEN APPLE, “Sparkling Drink (Citrus & Muscat)” (880 yen), is also available. With its pop design and refreshing taste, it adds a splash of color to your summer park experience. The generous serving size helps keep you cool even in the humid weather.
Hearty Summer Menu | Camp Woodchuck Kitchen
At Westernland’s “Camp Woodchuck Kitchen,” you’ll find cool menu items perfect for the hot summer.
The "Chef's Recommended Set" (¥1,520) includes chilled noodles (yuzu salt flavor) topped with vegetable and shrimp spring rolls and steamed chicken, along with French fries and a soft drink—a satisfying set.
I tried it myself, and I found the smooth noodles and refreshing yuzu flavor to be the epitome of a “summery” dish! It’s easy to eat even on hot days, making it a great lunch option for those who want to fully enjoy the park.
Step Into a Magical Night: “Reach for the Stars: Everlasting Dreams”
To end your day, head to the nighttime entertainment “Reach for the Stars: Everlasting Dreams,” set against the backdrop of Cinderella Castle.
“Reach for the Stars” is a castle projection show depicting various characters soaring through the sky in pursuit of their dreams. During the “Summer Cool Off” period, a special five-minute epilogue is presented after the main show. For the first time at Tokyo Disneyland, a drone performance joins the show, lighting up the night sky creating a moving and unforgettable finale.
On the day of our coverage, many guests gathered in front of Cinderella Castle, captivated by the enchanting display of lights and music. There were even moments when cheers erupted from the crowd as the drones created stunning displays across the night sky.
Please note that "Reach for the Stars" is scheduled to end its run on Monday, September 14, 2026. Be sure to experience this moving spectacle while you still can.
