New Style Sandwich: A Flower Bouquet

With only 100yen character bento tools, you can make a sandwich that looks like a flower bouquet for breakfast, lunch box, or impress people on parties! A simple, yet attractive recipe.

Tools

  • Ham cutter
  • Sausage cutter

Ingredients (one serving)

  • 3 slices of bread
  • 1 slice of ham
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • ¼ of cucumber
  • 3 small peeled sausages
  • 3 pieces of lettuce
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard
  • Butter

Steps

※Bread crusts are removed initially

Pink flower bouquet

  1. Cut the ham and cheese slices with the ham cutter and roll into a shape of a flower.
  2. Place the bread slice on wax paper and spread mayonnaise on the bread. Place a piece of lettuce diagonally and top with ham and cheese; roll up and serve.

Yellow flower bouquet

  1. Separate the yolk and white of the hard-boiled egg; crush the separated parts with a fork. Mix some pepper and mayonnaise to the egg white. Cut a cucumber into fine strips.
  2. Place the bread slice on wax paper and spread butter on the bread. Place a piece of lettuce diagonally and top with cucumber strips. Roll up; place the egg white followed by the yolk on top.

Orange flower bouquet

  1. Cut 2 sausages vertically to half of its length and make them into flowers using a sausage cutter.
  2. Place the bread slice on wax paper and spread mustard and mayonnaise on the bread. Place a piece of lettuce diagonally and top with a whole sausage. Roll up; stuff the cut sausages from the top.
