3 Points for Choosing a Yakiniku Restaurant Near Shinjuku Station
1. Check not only “minutes from the station” but also the nearest exit
Shinjuku Station is a huge terminal served by JR, private railways, and subways. Even if a restaurant is 1–3 minutes on foot, the walking distance can vary greatly depending on whether you use the East Exit, Southeast Exit, South Exit, or West Exit of JR Shinjuku Station. Make sure to check the nearest exit to the restaurant for peace of mind.
2. Choose by type: Yakiniku, Meat Kaiseki, or Teppanyaki
Even among meat dishes, the way you eat and the style of service differ depending on the type of restaurant. If you want to enjoy grilling the meat yourself, choose “yakiniku.” If you prefer to savor each dish calmly, “meat kaiseki” or “Japanese course cuisine” is recommended. For a live cooking experience right in front of you, “teppanyaki” is the way to go. Also, choose the restaurant style according to your group, special occasions, or whether children are allowed.
3. For under 10,000 yen, check service charges and drinks
Even if the course price is under 10,000 yen, some restaurants may add service charges, table charges, or drink fees. In this article, we introduce not only the price of dishes and courses as displayed by the restaurant, but also whether service charges or cover charges are listed on the store's page. Please confirm the final payment amount with the restaurant.
From here, we introduce 8 recommended yakiniku restaurants near Shinjuku Station.
