It is about 10 min. walk, so enjoy your short stroll to Tokyo Tower via Jozoji Temple.

[Milky Way Illumination]

At Tokyo Tower, you can enjoy exclusive summer “Milky Way Illumination” until Sunday, 3 September. The illumination takes place on the 1st floor of Main Observatory, where you can enjoy 360 degree blue star-studded sky across the floor. We recommend you to visit Tokyo Tower after sunset, if you wanna have as much fun as possible!

 [Outer Staircase of Blue Stars]

Between 5:00pm-10:00pm on weekdays and 11:00am-10:00pm on weekends/holidays, the 600-step outer staircase connected from the ground to the Main Observatory will be lit up in blue.


Usually the outer staircase is only open in day time, but it’s open till 10:00pm only during summer (until 3 Sep. ). So why don’t you try using staircases up-and-down to enjoy fantastic outer illumination?


*The staircase may be closed due to bad weather.

[Tokyo Tower Summer Light Fantasia]

Until Sunday, 3 September, a 3D mapping event called “Tokyo Tower Summer Light Fantasia” will be held on 2nd floor of Main Observatory, daily from 7:30pm-10:50pm.


(*Starting time will be changed to 7:00pm from Friday, 4 August)



You can enjoy a mixture of Tokyo’s real night view and mapping images at “Tokyo Tower Summer Light Fantasia.” Summer is portrayed in the projection mapping such as starry sky, fireflies, ocean waves, sunflower, and fireworks.
