Nissin Chicken Ramen Noodles

The noodles used in the chicken ramen are made using kneaded wheat flour that has been cut into thin strips, they are then steamed and flavored with chicken extract. The noodles are then fried at extremely high temperatures to dry them out. By drying them out using this method, they are able to be kept for long periods of time. The noodles use a special method to help ensure they don't fall apart during packaging or transport known as the "Random Wave" method. Thanks to all of these things, they are very easy to prepare just by adding them to boiling water.

Eating Nissin Chicken Ramen

You can prepare them by placing the noodles from the package into a bowl and then pouring over some boiling water before waiting for 3 minutes. You can also prepare them in a pot in the same method but only wait for 1 minute. You could eat them as-is, or place some of the aforementioned ingredients over the top to create a more nutritious and delicious dish.

Nisshin's chicken ramen was developed in 1958 and was the first instant ramen of its kind in the entire world. Momofuku Ando created this instant ramen dish to allow for an "Easier-to-eat ramen" that could be prepared and eaten all within the space of around 3 minutes. Due to the overwhelming success of these products, many more companies began developing their own versions of instant ramen, and a completely new market was born in Japan.

It's not an overstatement to say that chicken ramen has been the most popular dish in Japan since its birth. Also, thanks to it being able to be stored for long periods of time, it's often taken for camping trips and is used for food during a disastrous event. It's even made an appearance in the ever-popular Studio Ghibli films!
