Suzuki's iconic "Katana" is back, styled in homage to the 1981 original model!

At the Suzuki stand at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show, both the new "Katana" model and one of the original "GSX1100S Katana" bikes released in 1981 were on display, impressing all the biker fans.

New 2020 "Katana"

The base of the bike is "GSX-R1000". The total weight of the bike is only 215kg with a 110 horsepower, 990 cc in-line four-cylinder engine. The model features three-mode traction control for sport riding, normal road conditions and poor conditions, ABS, and an inverted front fork.

First generation GSX1100S KATANA

The prototype model was introduced at the Cologne Motor Show in 1980. At the Suzuki booth, the history of this iconic bike was explained to us.
By the way, I had a chance to sit on the latest "Katana" and get a sense of it at the stand, an experience that fans were queuing up for until the show closed.
