Lee’s Souvenir – Make your own Deco Latte

Sometimes we can’t bring all the pretty things from Japan back home. One thing that I really enjoyed while here was the level of creativity in the Latte Art. However, without the talents and skills of the baristas in Japan, I can only impress my friends with pictures. That said, not all is lost. With the deco latte sheet, you will be able to bring a piece of Japanese latte art back with you!

This ingenious invention is essentially a dairy based sheet that contains various adorable patterns. Once it comes into contact with warm liquid, the dairy product melts in and takes the form of latte art.

Each pack of Deco latte comes with 10 designs and cost 500 Yen for a pack. They can be purchased at Yamashiroya in Ueno. The sheets are individually wrapped so you will not need to worry about premature melting. Once your liquid is ready, peel off one side of the sheet, lift the Deco latte by the side, and gently place it in your cup. Now, you can begin to impress your friends. Enjoy!
