Japan has many language dialects.
In different region, different words are used for same meaning.
This time, I will introduce Osaka dialect (大阪弁-おおさかべん)
In Japanese, when we want to say “Nice!” “Good!” or when we want to praise somebody, we use ii ne! (いいね!).
However, Osaka people use ee yan! (ええやん!)
(Don’t worry you can also use “ii ne” in Osaka)
Like ii ne!, if we want to praise somebody, we can also use ee yan!
It is very practical word.
Here it is example of “ee yan!” use:
Example 1
A: I just got married
B: Ee yan! (Nice!)
Example 2
A: Do you want to go to Osaka with me?
B: Ee yan! (OK, it’s good)
Ee yan has similar meaning like Facebook “Like!”
I want to ask you guys, do you think this article deserves an “ee yan!”?
