Fun Japan Word: Vocabulary for Travelling by Bus in Japan
 
During your trip in Japan, you might use city bus or highway bus for travelling.
Here are some vocabulary which might help you!

When simply commuting or visit cities like Kyoto, you can use local bus like Japanese people.
They are simply called “Bus”.
Bus: Basu (バス)

For buses, or coaches, made for tourist here it is.
Touristic bus : Kankô basu (観光バス)

There’s many tricks to find cheap plane tickets or train pass for tourist from overseas, but the cheaper one for long distance remains highway bus.
There’s plenty of companies all around Japan, and some of them have english website and reservations systems.

Highway bus: Kôsoku basu (高速バス)

For longer distance, it might better to use the night bus. You’ll be in the city you want in the next morning! 
Night bus: Yakô basu (夜行バス)

Bus stop : Basu tei (バス停) or Basu sutoppu (バスストップ)

Bus terminal : Basu taaminaru (バスターミナル)
