Cool off with refreshing matcha recipes
Bittersweet matcha latte
This latte pairs sweetened milk and the slightly bitter edge of matcha. Just a sip will help you relax and forget your cares. Try it iced on a sultry summer afternoon. You can also enjoy a hot version in winter to warm you through and through.

Iced latte (makes 1 serving)
1 Chill a glass in the refrigerator. Place 100 ml milk, 2 tsp sugar, and 2 tsp matcha powder in a small pan and warm over low heat, whisking until sugar has dissolved. Continue heating until small bubbles form around the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and let cool.
2 Fill the glass with ice and pour latte.
Hot latte (makes 1 serving)
1 Warm a cup with hot water. Place 100 ml milk, 1¼ tsp sugar, 2 tsp matcha powder, and 20 ml water in a small pan and warm over low heat, whisking until sugar has dissolved. Continue heating until small bubbles form around the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and pour into the warmed cup.
2 Warm a small additional amount of milk in another pan and use a milk foamer to make topping for the latte.
