I think consuming eggs is quite a common practise in the world. So let’s discover what are the unique Japanese dishes made from eggs together.
The Omuraisu (means omelette rice in Japanese) . Notice the perfect combination of the “ Toro-toro” egg and the beef beside! Japanese dishes mostly emphasises harmony and balance overall.
The Oyakodon : Oyako means “parent and child” in Japanese. And the Oyakodon usually refers to this dish, a Donburi with chicken and eggs on top. ( Quiz: Are there other Oyako Japanese dishes that you are able to think off?)
Western toast with the Toro-toro half boiled egg inside. I am amazed of how the Japanese chefs can control the softness of the eggs!
Do you understand more about the expression of Toro-toro and got to know more Japanese dishes? I am really an egg lover, and the Japanese way of creating Toro-toro eggs really surprised me!
Do you like eggs? You gotta experience the “Toro-toroness” of these Japanese dishes!
