Darts is a game played by people among different ages in Japan from youth to senior. But darts is usually played by College Students like me. Why is it so?

First, Darts is a really FUN GAME.
Second, playing this FUN GAME = Darts will only cost you 100yen for each game. Which is really cheap if you compare it to other games.
Third, you can easily find a dart cafe just about anywhere.

This is one is a Dart Cafe located in the South of Tokyo, Kamata.
If you want to play, you must order a minimum of 1 drink per person and can play as many times as you want.

First put the coins in and choose which type of game you want to play.

There are a couple of games you can play, but if you’ve never played darts before, I recommend you play either of the two:

[Count Up]
Count up is probably the simplest game of darts where you compete by the total score out of 8 attempts, throwing 3 times in each attempt.

[01]
While Count Up is a simple game where there is not much drama unless the players are of same level, 01 could make things more competitive and dramatic. 01 is a game where you start out with 301 points (or 501 or 701, but I’d highly recommend you just play with 301) and try to get it down to 0. However, if you go below zero, like get 10 points while you only have 4 points left, that is considered a burst, and you have to go back to 4 points again.

This means that even if you scored the highest in Count Up, you won’t be able to win in 01 unless you can throw the dart to the exact place you want it to go.

The great thing about darts is that anyone could have fun and compete! Although some of my friends have played darts longer than others, we ended up having a very very close game, and it was super exciting!
