Rokkatei is famous sweet stuffs as souvenirs in Hokkaido. The most popular souvenir is marusei butter sandwich. Tourist can get them at airport or station. But did you know Rokkatei cafe in Hokkaido?
You can have limited delicious sweets and tea, coffee in cafeteria. Some of them are only available menus in cafeteria.There are some Rokkatei cafes in Hokkaido area.
Today let me share new Rokkatei cafeteria in Sapporo. This café was opened summer of 2015.
And this café is within walking distance from JR Sapporo station. It takes 5 min.
There are standing table area and café area. If you want to take a rest and order various sweets, I recommend that you take a seat. All menus aren’t available in standing table area.
The café is simple design and clean. Some goods are designed by specific flower patterns.
These flowers grow in Hokkaido area. You can find many unique flower patterns when you go there.
My order is premium chocolate cake and hot chocolate.
The premium chocolate cake is so beautiful and delicious. The taste isn’t much sweeter. And the dish is cute flower pattern as well.
Another order is marusei iced sandwich.
Original marusei butter sandwich is made of milk, white chocolate, butter, raisins, and cookie.
This iced one is limited edition in only cafeteria. (You can’t have any airport or station shop.)
Absolutely delicious as well!! The hot chocolate is a perfect match for it.
This café provide light meal except of the sweets. (Pizza,etc….)
If you want to get souvenirs after enjoying café, you can get them on the ground floor.
