By now you must know that Japan has the craziest vending machines.
You’ll find vending machines absolutely everywhere in Japan and some of them have special features.



These ones are optimized for natural disasters, do you want to know how?

If you look at the bottom of those machine, you’ll notice a special drawing and message.

It operates like a normal vending machine usually, but in case of a natural disaster like big earthquakes, the drinks will be given for free. More so, it will operate even if there is a power stoppage.



It’s such a great idea!
Since those machines are set near evacuation grounds (usually parks or kid playgrounds) or in the lobby of residential building, they are available for people if the water system breaks, for example.



Also, those machines have been built with an alimentation system which consumes a very small amount of energy to be more ecological.
