I am going to share with you guys about the Smiling Sea Lions of Kamogawa Seaworld.
Sea Lion (アシカ / ashika) is an animal that can adapt both in land and water.
Sea lions are pretty famous as ingenious (smart) animals.
The show which is located at the ロッキースタジアム(Rocky Stadium),
with the capacity of about 1000 people, are being held 3 times a day :
1. 11:00 AM
2. 13:30 PM
3. 15:30 PM
The show itself is called スマイル家のハッピーホリデー (sumairuke no happi horiidee) / Smile Family’s Happy Holiday.
There are 3 characters in this story, father, son, and mother (from left to right)
The sea lion trainers will dubbed the voices and the sea lions will do performances based on the story.
You might want to learn some Japanese before seeing the performance, because there will be no subtitle or something like that.
All the conversations inside the play are being done in Japanese.
The show itself takes about 15-20 minutes.
Believe me, you will be amazed by their performances!
Must be so hard to train the sea lions...
Or maybe not?
They’re ingenious anyway, haha.
Oh and since every sea lions has different personalities, the way they do things in the play are so interesting to watch!
Doing exercises, acting lazy, ball-juggle, and so many others, make sure you clap as hard as you can to encourage the sea lions! :D
