“Omurice” is a popular Japanese dish made with seasoned rice wrapped or topped with a omelette and served with ketchup or demi-glace sauce.
But there’s much more variations to enjoy at Oeuf de Tamaco, a restaurant specialized in Omurice in Omotesando.
Oeuf de Tamaco is a cute Omurice specialized restaurants where you can enjoy at least ten different sorts of Omurice dishes but also pasta, french toast, and ice-cream parfait.
The Omurice choices are divided in three categories, topped with tomato base sauce, cream base sauce, or “japanese” flavor.
Here is “Omurice” with spinach, chicken and cream sauce.
The rice inside has been cooked with some onion and cheese, wrapped in a thin omelet, then topped with a creamy sauce with spinach and chicken.
It’s a very gentle and warm flavor, like a white sauce gratin.
Our second choice was “Japanese” flavor: Omurice topped with a mix of grated yam and spicy cod roe.
The rice inside is cooked with onion and shimeji mushrooms.
Dishes using spicy cod roe are generally very salty, but I was surprised that this one wasn’t.
Mixed with grated yam, the cod roe sauce was very fluffy and light.
You can pour some yuzu flavored sauce (Japanese citrus) on the top.
Here is the “mini-salad” which was surprisingly big with a french-style vinegar and mustard sauce with some walnuts.
The restaurant is popular among girls and women.
