Need a coin?
Just to enter a toilet?
Before I freak all of you out anymore, let me just tell you that there is no need for you to reach down to your purse and pull out a coin.
Instead, it is a special medal that you could get from the restaurant staff.
Now, I know why…
Now, why do we need coins to go to the toilet??
I thought it is a public bathroom.
But, no..
The weirdest toilet I have ever seen...

Here is the coin box.
That day, I went to a cafe located in Shibuya, and as I went to the restroom, I realized I couldn’t even open the door.
Then I realized that I need to ask for the coin from the cafe staffs so that I can open this toilet door.
Now that we know what it is, “WHY” do we need such system for a restroom?!
I realized that this toilet can only be used by the customers that go to the cafe and buy something.
I guess it’s to prevent people from using the toilet without purchasing anything.
It’s a great tactic right?
Nice job Japanese people!
