Do you love shopping?
Food?Culture?
Customs?
History?
If you do, you must visit Okage Yokocho!
Okage Yokocho is a village that was built to resemble the Ise-ji Road, a road passed by pilgrims when they visited Ise Jingu (The Grand Shrine) in the Edo period (1603-1868).

Visited by more than 3 million visitors every year, this village is packed with more than 50 shops and restaurants.
The housing design and structure is typical to the old Ise town, where most of them are built from scratch or rebuilt overtime.
You can buy a lot of things here, such as toys, souvenirs, seafoods, traditional handmade crafts, accessories, and also a museum to learn more about the history, culture, and customs!

Do you want to build a snowman?
(Do you see Olaf in the photo?)

The price is also not too expensive!
So for those who love shopping, you might want to be more careful with your budget here.

Aren’t they all so cute?
Shiba-inu is my favorite dog!
What’s yours?

They also sell this souvenir of all the zodiacs.
Hello, the owners of sheep zodiac!

On weekends, they usually hold a festival, or play the taiko drum.
But seriously, the mood of the village is always festive.
So crowded with enthusiastic sellers and visitors!

Near the center of the village, you can find this bridge overlooking a beautiful river.
A great opportunity for landscape photo, don’t you agree?
Since this village is located only 1-minute walk away from Ise Jingu (The Grand Shrine), you can visit if after you visit the shrine, and I’m sure you won’t regret it!
