Shibuya Crossing, the world-famous intersection in Tokyo.
Most of the tourists who come to Tokyo check it out, if not for anything else, then at least because everyone is going to ask you later on “Did you go there?” And the next question will be “Can you show us the photos?”

But obviously, it is unbelievable to see a place where so many pedestrians cross the road at the same time, not to mention the huge TV screens.
If you dive into the crowd, you will realize that despite the large number of people, no one bumps into each other!
There is order even in a situation that you would think can end up only in chaos.
Visiting Shibuya Crossing will make you feel like you are in a true metropolis

In this article, we will show you a perfect place to take photos of Shibuya Crossing free of charge.
As Shibuya is the symbol of the hustle-bustle of Tokyo, it can get a bit tiring to take photos in the middle of the crowd, at least if you are trying to take the perfect shot.
That is not to say that you should not - some of the best photos are indeed taken in the middle of the crowd.
Also the evening view of the crossing is quite an experience at a short distance.

However, there is also a place where you can take photos in more of a relaxed manner. That is, from inside the Shibuya Station!
Because the station is huge and it is easy to get lost since you are not the only one there, here are some instructions on how to get there.

First, find out where the Ginza metro station exit is.
This should not be too difficult, as there are signs in simple English that show which way each line is.
When you get to a huge hallway, from where you would take stairs up to the Ginza line, stop. You should be next to this painting.

The viewing spot is opposite to the painting. From there, you can get a shot like this!

It should be noted, however, that if you are taking photos with a system camera and not a smartphone, there are wires on the window.
However, with a smartphone, you can just put the lense on the glass and since the lense is small, you can get a photo without the wires.
And as you can see from the next photo, a photo with the wires can look really good too!
