Head to Otsuka area for the Otsuka Roses Festival to watch both!

Otsuka is an area located next to Ikebukuro in northern Tokyo.
This neighborhood with a retro feeling is popular with foreign students because of its a very accessible location and cheap rent.
The main station is the JR station from Yamanote, but Tokyo’s last tram line “Toden Arakawa” line is also passing by Otsuka.

Otsuka inhabitants decided a few years ago to celebrate spring by growing roses from all over the world along the rails during the month of May.

Then Japanese people, especially elderly, can combine favorites photos subjects, flowers, and the train.

The result also gives an interesting scenery and brings many people to Otsuka.

Why not have a walk there and enjoy one of the many cheap eats of Otsuka next year?
