Which is the best part of Sazae (Turban Shell) to taste ??

Good day!! Today’s Japanese food recommendation is Sazae - the turban shell!! Is shellfish a common food in your country? 

Even if it was, I bet it’s not served raw, right? 

The turban shell is a kind of seashell that lives around the coasts near Kyushu, Honshu and Okinawa. 

It can be easily found at the shallow waters around the southern coast of Japan.

This is the Sazae cooked with sweet soy sauce. You can easily find Sazae dishes in any seafood restaurants in Japan. 

It can be served raw as a sashimi, cooked with soy sauce and also grilled. The best part of a sazae is its internal organs, which even tastes better if served raw.

The right part of the dish is the mixture of the organs and flesh of Sazae. 

And this green part is the innermost part of the Sazae, which is said to be the best part (which I find to be quite “unique” in its taste).
