Nakameguro is one of the hippest neighborhoods in Tokyo.
Transportation is also great, but one thing that is a concern is the area, which is pretty expensive.
It is popular for nightlife, but most of their bars are high priced.
Well, I found this surprisingly reasonable bar in Nakameguro.
The name of the bar is called “Vampire”.
It is a standing bar with no sheets, and you can keep the table for only 2 hours at a time due to congestion.
I went there around 1PM in the afternoon on Saturday, and it was already packed!
Although it is not a large bar, you can tell how popular this place is with the local people.
In front of you, there were people cooking and making drinks inside the kitchen.
Menus hanging tightly on the wall is a typical izakaya(bar) style.
They had a big menus especially for seafood which is surprising because normally served fresh seafood is so expensive.
Besides the typical menu for bar food such as french fries and cheese sticks, they have a good variety of sashimi, grilled fish, gyoza and tempura.
I ordered deep fried oyster and sashimi of maguro(tuna) for starters.
A dish of deep fried oyster is 250 yen, and sashimi is 200 yen which is super cheap for a bar in Nakameguro.
Needless to say, they both were very fresh and tasty!
You don’t have to go to an expensive fancy sushi restaurant now that you know this place!
