Hi all!
Last weekend, we went and took a small tour in Kawagoe, a small town located just 30 min north from Ikebukuro.
This city is famous for its old district called Ko-edo (the small Edo) where you can still find old houses and traditional shop.
If you don’t have the time to go to Kyoto, just stop there !
Follow the guide!
You can find all sorts of souvenir shops in Kawagoe - we definitely recommend you try the Sweet Potato soft-cream or the locally brewed beer “Coedo”!
The traditional architecture is very well-preserved, those buildings usually date from the end of the 19th century, after the Great Kawagoe Fire, which caused more than one third of the city to be burnt down.
Stay tuned for more info about Kawagoe!
