Do you want to experience riding on a futuristic personal transporter? One whereby you control your motions using the slightest movement of your body, and no legwork is necessary?



If you do, hop on down to Odaiba’s Aqua City mall, where for a limited time only, you will be able to experience the INMOTION, a top of the line, sensor control vehicle created by Entrex Inc. The INMOTION acts similar to a Segway, whereby pressure exerted by your body during the driving process is precisely taken in by the sensors of the machine. With a simple lean forward or backward, the sensor control vehicle can either move forwards or come to a stop.





There are three types of INMOTION sensor control vehicles to try. The R1EX, a beginner level machine that has a sturdy base and handlebars for stability. The intermediate level machine is the R1SS, a machine with no handles and a slightly smaller base. Both the R1EX and R1SS costs 500 Yen for a 5 minute ride. The advance level machine is the V3 and only has one wheel. Users balance on the two foot rests on either side of the wheel. As it takes a longer time to get used to the V3, more time is given and the cost is 500 Yen for a 10 minute ride.



To ride on the INMOTION vehicles, one has to be of elementary school age and up. Register by the booth and catch a glimpse of the future, where the next step is no step.
