Today I’m going to be explaining what’s so great about Gotemba Premium Outlets, a popular outlet mall that’s just a short trip away from Tokyo.
Above all else, the main attraction is undoubtedly the incredible amount of stores on offer: a whopping 210 in total!
These include a range of high fashion stores such as Prada/Miu Miu, Gucci, and Armani!
If you’ve got kids with you, they can enjoy themselves at the hugely popular Kids Land, and the Lego store!

The best part is, as you walk around the mall, you can see magnificent Mount Fuji right there in front of you!
It’s great fun looking for just the right spot to snap a photo feeling like a traveler.
If you get hungry mid-shopping, there are also plenty of restaurants and cafés.
For example, in the East Zone there’s Numazu Kaiten-zushi Uogashi, a popular sushi restaurant that uses local fish from Shizuoka Prefecture.
On weekend afternoons there’s always a big queue, so if it doesn’t look too busy, make sure to get in line right away!
There are also various take-out places that are perfect when you want a snack.
If you’re in a group, and everyone wants to eat something different, I’d recommend stopping by the Food Bazaar, which offers a huge variety of different noodles, curries, and other types of food.
You can eat inside the spacious bazaar itself, but on sunny days it’s also nice to eat on the outdoor terrace while enjoying the views of Mount Fuji.
With great shopping, fine food, and even views of Mount Fuji, Gotemba Premium Outlets has everything you could want.
