ALTA : A Place for Low Priced Fashion Goods -Siah’s Kawaii Tokyo Life Report-

If you like the Japanese Gyaru Style fashion ( fancy and daring fashion that Japanese young ladies at Shibuya often wear), the 109 department store located in Shibuya definitely the best place to go for. But some of my friends find fashion merchandises in 109 slightly expensive (an average of 4000yen for a top, 8000yen for a dress) and asked for other recommendations.

ALTA is the place where you can get fashion goods similar to the Shibuya 109 style, but half cheaper the price! There are only 2 ALTAs in Tokyo , one located at the East side of Shinjuku station, and other in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro. You can access to both ALTAs by the JR Yamanote Line.

I think ALTA Ikebukuro has more variety of styles and items. Let’s find out how ALTA Ikebukuro looks like. And perhaps, find your ideal style?

ALTA Ikebukuro, is located at the B1, and the Ground floor of Sunshine City Ikebukuro.

While ALTA in Shinjuku focus more on clothings , ALTA Ikebukuro sells all kinds of fashion goods including jewellery, bags, children clothings and men fashion.

Uncountable bags!! Price range from 1000yen - 5000yen.

ANAP : Colorful pop fashion for young girls. I have introduced ANAP once in other post.

Honey’s is also a very popular brand among high school girls in Japan. The styles they provide are more ladylike and practical , sweet but not over outstanding.A top costs around 1500yen and bottoms ranged from 2000yen -2500yen.

This THANK YOU MART sells everything at only 390 yen!! Unbelievably cheap!!

Girly and cute fashion style, which is quite a major style  among the young Japanese girls.

Some stores like Emsexeite does not have any specific style, generally covers everything. Their price reduction were like quite high, salle items are like 1000yen per piece.

Baby Shoop: The place where you can get sporty,hot and sexy outfits. Perhaps dancers will like this brand!

Of course ,the socks store is a must for a fashion center like ALTA. Prices went really low.

Worried that your boyfriend cannot stand accompanying you for too long? He can spend time at

the Mens Corner. Men’s fashion are usually more expensive than ladies, but here in ALTA you can grab T Shirts for 1000 yen and such. No price difference from the ladies fashion. 

You might be worried of the quality of the clothes. How can such clothes be in good quality in such low prices ? Frankly speaking, the quality of the clothes is indeed not as good as the one you can get in Shibuya 109. But if you compare the price and the features of the fashion goods, you will find the item really worth the price or the material of the products are not that bad after all!

And if you are a fashion challenger who enjoys switching styles and pursuing latest fashion all the time, why care too much about the quality? I bought this top at  Emsexeite for 1000yen.

Match it well and trust me, nobody can tell how much and whether you bought it from ALTA or Shibuya 109!
