My name is Meyri and I was the fourth winner of Visit Japan Campaign 4. When Fun! Japan announced Visit Japan Campaign 4 – Enjoy Amazing Summer in Tokyo, I was so excited. I did my best to be the lucky one. I collected the points and applied as many as I could. Untill one day, I received an email from Fun! Japan telling me that I was the winner of the campaign. Yay! I was really surprised that I’ve been chosen as the lucky one. It was one of the best day of my life. I feel so blessed. Thanks to Fun! Japan for choosing me as the winner ^^.
After the announcement, the first thing to do was applying Japan Visa. So glad that Fun! Japan team was really helpful. They provided the documents that I needed to apply visa such as booking airline ticket and hotel confirmation. So there was no issue on applying my Japan Visa. My visa approved 4 days later since the date I submitted the documents. One step closer to feel summer in Japan.
And this was the day, July 10 2016! Yippiie!! Due to the morning flight, I had to wake up very early in the morning. Flying with Japan Airlines, I chose the window seat. A Japanese man said to me if I could see the Mount Fuji from the airline window so hoping i’ll be back again to The Land of The Rising Sun. And Yess! 30 minutes before landing I could see the Mount Fuji. Ihiy! ^o^
Can you spot the Mount Fuji?
I arrived at Narita Airport Term.2 at 16.30 local time and took airport limousine bus to Sunshine City Prince hotel at Ikebukuro. The hotel was really comfortable and clean. My room was not big enough and not too small. Really convenient and most importantly I loved its location. The hotel is located right next to the Sunshine City Mall and entertainment complex. Very strategic place. So after checked in and put my bag on my room. I walked around the neighborhood. There are number of stores and restaurants to go to. Ikebukuro Train Station is about 10 minutes walk through one of the shopping street with Uniqlo, Tokyu Hands, Book Off, Don Quijote, Seibu, Matsumoto Kiyoshi and many more.
I had dinner at Mutekiya Ramen. It is one of the best ramens in Tokyo. The queue was very long and i had to wait about 50 minutes. It was very tired but it was all worth it. The ramen was very very very delicious. Highly recommended for those who eat non halal foods.
After dinner, i looked at the time, and it showed 21.30. I still wanted to go sightseeing but I thought it’s time to go back to the hotel. I felt really tired and needed rest. On the next day i would have so many interesting things to do. ^^
