Two Types of Takayama's Morning Markets 

Takayama's morning markets are held at two places. Both are a 10-minute walk from Takayama Station. When the weather is bad, such as with rain or snow, there may be about 10 shops, but at its most, 30 to 40 shops are lined up.

Around noon, products start to get sold out and shops start to close, so try to go early in the morning.

Miyagawa Morning Markets

At Miyagawa Morning Market where you can go around in 30 minutes to an hour, you can also eat fresh vegetables and fruits, and snacks. They sell crafts as well.
