Hello friends!
Today, I will provide you a brief guide of what I hope will be helpful during your travels here in Japan.I’m going to write about the three major ones flying in and out of Tokyo and Osaka.
LCC’s arrived in Japan much later than in Europe or South East Asia.
However, the business model has proved to be a success and budget airlines have been budding up like mushrooms.
Peach: Based in Kansai International Airport (KIX) of Osaka.
Internationally, you can fly from Taipei, Kaohsiung, Busan, Seoul or Hong Kong.
Domestically, you can hop off to Hokkaido, Sendai, Tokyo, Nagasaki, Okinawa and elsewhere.
Note that you will be leaving from Terminal 2 of KIX, which is about 10 minutes away from Terminal 1.

Vanilla: Based in Tokyo’s Narita Airport (NRT), it offers flights to Hokkaido, Okinawa, Taipei and Seoul.
The airline has just moved into a brand new terminal (Terminal 3).
Cheap buses operate between central Tokyo (Ginza) and the airport for 1000 yen (single), allowing you to spend that yen elsewhere.

Jet Star: Finally but definitely not least, Jet Star.
This LCC boasts the most comprehensive routes, flying to a plethora of places within Japan.
Osaka, Tokyo and Sapporo are covered extensively by the orange carrier, as well as more regional cities.

Or the train?
Non-Japanese (and Japanese who are living overseas) are entitled to purchase the Japan Rail Pass, which can be very economical.
It’s up to you to decide whether you want to incorporate LCC travel into your schedule, or instead travel via the railroad.
